Got a sailfish early in the morning for Maria then at the end of the trip another for FJ. Yesterday saw us lose a 200lb blue marlin after an angler error but we were mesmerised to see a pod of
male orcas early on - only the 2nd time in 23 years that we have seen killer whales here.. |

Small mahi and the odd skipjack have dominated recent catches but todays half day for Sandals guests saw the retrun of some sailfish action - we got 6 bites hooked 3 (including a double header) and released 2 |

New SGU student Alex took his family out fishing and after a very slow start fishing in some very dirty water managed to get a nice 27lb wahoo in the boat and a small blackfin tuna too! |

SGU students had a blast this afternoon hooking up a 400lb blue marlin which we chased around for a few minutes before it jumped and spat the hook... after that we fished porpoise and birds
for 2 hours before this 125lb yellowfin jumped on the hook and gave a good fight for 30 minutes....tuna on the menu! |

Shared afternoon charter saw Meg break our boat record for wahoo with a cracking 70lb fish!! the wahoo attacked a smaller fish she had hooked and ended upo getting lassoed by the tail! Whilst
cleaning the fish we also found a commercial long line hook in the gut - so this fish had used up a few lives before today! Meg also caught a smaller wahoo around 18lb and others on board caught
barracuda and blackfin tuna |

Liz & Rochelle had a great morning where the tuna were biting freely - Rochelle was first up and even though inexperienced got her tuna to the boat in about 25 minutes - 137lb. A short while
after Lix was hooked up and upstaged Rochelle with a 153lb tuna!! Great fishing and both ladies handled their fish better than a lot of men do! |

Sandals clients had a great action trip this morning starting with a small skipjack tuna then followed by a sailfish release.. Shortly after they experienced a hook up with a 400lb blue
marlin which gave a hard fight and exciting chase for an hour before the mangled sailfish hook pulled out. |
