Family and friends of Scott Porterfield went out this morning. Scott was first up with this nice dorado, we then went 3 for 5 on sailfish, in the afternoon we went out again and went 1 for 2 on sailfish.
We ended the year with our best ever tally of sailfish releases - 128 (previous best was 55...) |

Marc & Daniel (our first ever customers from the brand new Silver Sands resort) went out this morning and early on we got a big strike which we hooked up and soon a lively blue marlin was
stripping line of Daniels reel. He worked hard as we backed up hard and got the fish to boat side for a release - est 150lb. Later we had 3 sailfish strikes, hooked one but Marc was unlucky as the hook pulled after a few minutes. |

Mike & Paula tried their luck this morning and things were slow with just 1 missed sailfish strike around porpoise and yellowfin tuna. Things changed quickly on the way back though when a feisty blue marlin ate a lure after swiping at 2 baits. Mike battled
grimly to bring it to the boat in about 20 minutes. It was Mikes first ever saltwater gamefish so he started at the top! |

Beth Nelson booked this family fishing trip mainly because her daughter Caroline wanted to catch a really big fish... well although plenty of big tuna were not biting she
ended up fighting this 250lb blue marlin for about half an hour before releasing it - beautiful fish.. |

Sandals clients had an experience to remember this morning when we hooked a 119lb yellowfin tuna on a light tackle outfit...when we finally boated the fish we were 17 miles from shore
and sveral hours over the scheduled return to dock.. |

Amanda guest at Sandals got to release her first billfish this afternoon - a near 200lb blue marlin which gave her a 15 minute work out on 80lb test. The fish was briefly hooked on a lure but
came off then ate a ballyhoo on the shotgun. We had been fishing around yellowfin tuna and porpoise for 2 hours without a bite when this fish came up |

Brian Thomas booked the boat for himself for an afternoon half day. Early on we fished porpoise with big yellowfin tuna for 2 hours but only had one fish look at a lure but not take it.. We worked our way back to shore and
in the last minute of the trip hooked up a nice sailfish which everyone was very happy about! This was our 100th sailfish for 2018 |
